Further Research (Secondary Research)

Publications/The%20ATA%20News/Volume%2042/Number%207/cartoon42-7.gif= This website gives the information of some slogans and further information on Cyber Bullying. It gives me the idea of what I could use to grab people's attention using some of these slogans for  better quality.

 1. This slogan gives the information that cyber bullying shouldn't happen in the first. It kind of explains to quit it. The top slogan indicates that Cyber Bullying should be deleted from everyone's life.  The face book sign shows that it should happen straight away. It makes you feel like it should just stop forever. It is very catchy which I like.  https://tracylsolomon.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/deletecyberbullyingphotobyj_o_i_d.jpg

2. This slogan gives the information that Cyber Bullying is a very bad thing to do. It explains that it should be out of the world as it isn't a nice thing to do. The word "face" shows that even though you face it you shouldn't. It also shows that you face it all the time.  The face book lettering indicates that it does hurt people face to face. https://computerssociety2050.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/mmmmm.png

3. This slogan gives the information that Cyber Bullying should go away for life.  The words show what you should do if you are being bullied.  All three of the words are clear and eye catching highlighting that it is the key points of Bullying. It also shows what you should do straight away without keeping it a secret.

.
  4. This slogan gives the information that Cyber Bullying affects people in real life. The word affects gives this instantly the information that bullying does hurt. The whole slogan suggests that it should end right now. It also shows that people can't help how they feeling. It also raises a question of how would you like you? without saying the question.

 5. This slogan gives the information that Cyber Bullying shouldn't be ignored. It gives the impression that it should stop constantly. The whole slogan suggests that it hurts and affects real lives. The badge style gives the inspiration that it should stop. It shows that people can see what you are posting unless you stop it like a stop sign.

Research( Primary Research)

I have found this image about Cyber Bullying that I really like. I like the fact that it shows the message clearly without that much speaking. The way that he has drawn this image makes me feel as though I am in the image. This is because of the way that the characters facial expressions have been drawn to show the main point of the photo. It doesn't use that much/ many colours for the image showing that it is more effective when it is in black and white.  This image has been created/drawn by Dave Granlund.  It gives the picture that this photo is a moving image with the tear type things coming from the top of the boy's head. The hand pulling into the picture indicates the main point of the image. I feel as though Dave Granlund purposely uses different art techniques such as cross hatching to creating the different types of shadows on the people to give them the 3d effect. It looks as though the two boys that are being bullied are jumping up and down the whole drawing giving them the realistic person effect.

This image shows the real life of a girl who has been cyber bullied. She looks as though she is crying to show the upset ness of the fact that she is being cyber bullied. Kristina Webb has shown through this piece of artwork that she was cyber bullied herself with the way she has drawn the audience into the piece of artwork.  The writing/ boxes around the main focus of the girl shows that she was cyber bullied due to people hurting her physically in a bullying type of way. The colours show how upset the girl is due to her un happiness, of her being in the middle of the image. The different websites of mean ness indicates that this girl has been treated with Cyber bullying through a range of different days of the week due to her hiding her face. The 3d effect that the artist has used to create the realistic effect is probably paper and a brio to highlight the key part of the image. The fact that the girl has covered her face indicates that she is embarrassed with some of the comments that has been posted on her face book. This gives the impression that bullying isn't a sensible to do because of the fact that it hurts people/'s feelings throughout a non moving image.
This is also by Andrea Joseph because she using biros/pens to create her artworks. She is also the artist who captures the realistic moments of her surroundings, creating the cool 3d effect.

This image has two sides to it. The left hand side shows the Cyber Bullying side, however on the right hand side it shows how upset and devastated the person is. This piece has been created by Shadow Renegade. This gives the effect that the person on the left has hacked onto the girl on the right's account and bullying her. The dark/ black colours show that the image is horrified with the left hand side. This  has influenced me to use for my poster. I could use some of the left hand side effect of the bully to create my masterpiece. It shows an exact mirror image of the piece of work on the right. The background colour of the splodges almost looks like a bit of blood from the girl. This gives the effect that the girl on the right is crying her heart out of something bad that has happened. It feels like no-one is trying to help the poor girl who has been badly hurt. It indicates that the person on the left is the man person who likes to hurt people's feeling with the girl on the right as the victim.  The way that the girl has been drawn shows and gives the effect that the girl is directly crying into the wall giving the sad feeling. The hand on the wall looks as though they are about to hurt the shadow of the girl showing just how mean people can be without apologizing. This is a perfect image to use for my poster because it indicates how hurt people are when they are bullied all the time without any peace and quiet.

This image shows a girl in the foreground being upset after she has been cyber bullied. The image shows how upset the girl is feeling because of the cyber bullying. It indicates the main important parts to the piece/photo with the writing all over the girl. This gives the impression that something bad has happened. This photo has influenced me to create my poster because of the fact that the girl is crying because of Cyber Bullying.  This stands out because it shows  the different sorts of bullying that goes on through the world and all the time. This is effective because it gives me an idea of the facial expression that people/young people feel before and after the upset of bullying. The detail on the photo gives the impression of how hurt teenagers and children feel after the bullying has happened. The girl looks almost 3d because of the way that she has been drawn. This gives me the impression that the girl is the main focus out of all of the images shown on this particular page. The pencil techniques that the artist has used shows just how distort this child/teenager is from her facial expression. I could make something similar to this with different cyber bullying words around the edge giving the hurtful feeling, which is what I am looking for.  The key point of the photo is the girl. It looks like she is holding a laptop full of bullying which is unfair on the poor girl. I think this shouldn't happen in the first place, it is wrong and it isn't right. The artist has influenced me to create a similar poster to this because of the way that they have drawn the girl without any outlines on the drawing. It kind of makes me feel as though I am the girl who is being bullied because of the 3d effect on the girl and the writing.

This image shows a boy being bullied through social media. It looks as though he is being dragged out from his comfort zone because of the way that the artist has drawn one leg out of the social media site and one within. It makes me feel as if I am the boy inside the social media because of the 3d effect on the phones, cameras and the boy. The boy has been purposely drawn to being very upset to show the effects teenagers/children have after they have been directly bullied. I think that the artist has blurred the social media webpage for this drawing to show cyber bullying without any writing or text. This drawing is effective without any writing/text because it shows the story of the boy's bullying life. The boy has covered his face to show that he is very embarrassed with the comments that has been said about him through his social media.  The arrows that has been drawn to show the bullying of the boy highlights that he is being dragged somewhere he doesn't want to go. The plain background shows that he is being dragged into the or out of the internet pretending that it is a dream when it might not be. It shows that bullying hurts to much.

Proposal

The theme that I have chosen to use for this project is Cyber Bullying and Online Safety. I think that these two subjects would be great joined together because of the fact that people can be bullied online through different social medias. I have chosen to do this on Cyber Bullying because it affects quite  a few children and some  young people throughout the country. It is an important theme to do a project about because it shows that I care about those children who have to deal with it every single day. I would like to  use Cyber Bullying for my project because it would stop bullies from harming those who they aren't expecting to harm. I feel as though bullying is an important subject because it happens all the time without people knowing about it.  I would like to get my point across how people who are being bullied feels after they have been bullied to let people aware of their experiences with bullying, especially Cyber Bullying.

The medium that I will be using to create my work is Adobe Illustrator. I have chosen to use this medium because I prefer using it. I find Illustrator better to use then Photo Shop. I would like to have  some sort of graphic touch to my project. This would grab peoples attention because people prefer the graphic style to the photo shop. I have decided to make a graphic type piece of work because it would highlight Cyber Bullying perfectly.  The graphics would show Cyber Bullying and the help part of the situation letting people be aware of the consequences, in case they try to bully the same person over and over again.  The graphic style that I would use would be a plain background/fill colour to give the graphic the final touch to it that it needs. I think that having a white background wouldn't get my point across as I have planned in my head.  Also a white background wouldn't give the information that I want to get through a poster. White backgrounds aren't as effective as a colour background showing that I have already thought about the colour that I don't want my piece of work to be.

For my project I would like to create a poster. This is because this would be more eye- catching then an ordinary photo. I would cover the background to get my point across of Cyber- Bullying. I don't want a white background for this project because it wouldn't get my point across clearly compared to if was a normal photo. I could join more then one photos together that I have created to make. create a fantastic poster to do with Cyber Bullying. I would have the Child line logo in one of the corners of the poster to show how Cyber Bullying can be helped with the phone call. I would change the logo by having a little character behind the child line logo to give it character. This would make the logo stand out better than the original logo. I would use this to show how Cyber Bullying has helped children and young people who have been bullied. I would keep the poster portrait because it would make it more of a poster.  I would probably use my brother for my poster to show children being bullied. I am intending to take a photo of my brother looking at the computer, pretending to be bullied. I would then like to use this photo to create a cartoon part of this photo using my art skills.  This would work well because children are mostly affecting with being bullied compared to teenagers and adults. I might use my dad to have as the person behind the phone(child line) to give it a better touch to the whole poster. This would stay a photo to keep it serious. This would also show that it really happens to people/children.

The images that has inspired me to help describe my idea is the Cyber Bullying logo. I would put this logo towards the middle of my poster to highlight what the subject is about that I have chosen for my project.  This has helped me with creating a more effective logo to grab the audience's attention throughout the poster. Having a character behind the Child Line logo would show a bit of a secret of how a child came to being bullied and how their life was saved by Child Line.  I would change the colour of the logo to more of a bright aware colour like red to show that it is important to stop being Bullied. This would give the effect that some-one is being physically bullied, it would show the bullies that bullying is wrong.  I feel like the Child Line logo would fit my poster because it gives the feeling that something can be done about bullying when it happens to children. It would clearly indicate the happiness that Children feel when they have told an adult or some-one about their bullying life or story.  I don't want to use the phone on the right hand side because it doesn't look as effective as a character behind the logo. This also shows that I have thought about the logo without using some-one else's work.  It looks like it has been rushed a bit too much giving the feeling that a Child did it.  No other image has inspired me to use for my project. I feel as though this is the most important one out of the lot that I want to re-design for my own poster.

The initial research that I will undertake while completing this project is by having a non realistic character and some  realistic characters joined together to create my final poster. This would make my work more effective if I combine two lots of photos and art works to make my subject, my original piece of work using my skills that I have learnt. The pre-production work that I will undertake is making sure that I know what I am doing with the project to make it to the best of my ability that I can. This includes using the best of my art skills and taking my time. Also for the preproduction work I will have to make sure that I complete it in the time limit as well as doing some of  it outside of lesson to get it completed on time. Also another piece of preproduction work that I will undertake is making sure that I have designed my characters for my poster before I make my piece.  I will create at least 3 designs or more for each of the characters that I would like to create through my project, to see which one of my designs I like the best, that I could use for my poster. The audience research that I will undertake whilst completing this project is making sure that I know who my audience is. In this case it is aimed for children because they are mainly targeted for bullying, especially Cyber Bullying. Some parts of the audience would be aimed for the adults of the children because they would need to find out who to contact if some bullying did happen to their children and they would need to know about it.

I will present my work by a poster. This would capture all of the needed information without massive chunks of information that is not required. This doesn't grab people's attention as much. I would use Adobe Illustrator so I can get the information through the characters/ graphic side to the characters to show the audience in the most appropriate way as possible. I would like to create just one poster using the information that I have gathered throughout my research. I think that just one poster would be effective enough to show information on Cyber Bullying and Online Safety. I might create small posters to show and indicate the less important parts of the poster such as online bullying. I would make smaller pieces of art work to have as the things that happen to children as they get bullied. These things would include name calling, online gaming to show the reactions before and after Cyber bullying has happened. I would like to have these smaller images/artworks at the bottom of the poster in a sort of a comic strip to kind of show the story between the child's face of being bullied and the help that they have received throughout the internet/ in this case Child Line. I would like to use my art skills for my work to give my poster the most information I feel like it needs.  I would also have a smaller artwork/piece for my poster at the top to show that people aren't allowed to harm others, otherwise it is Cyber Bullying. I think that posters work very well when trying to create an idea because people are always interested in posters more than just plain boring photos  that wouldn't get people's attention as much.
